Creating Categories
The category view displays an overview of products available within a product type. It allows users to quickly and easily view products under a selected category, while ensuring that load time is minimized.
Depending on the platform you will use, the details you may see on the category view are the following:
- Thumbnails of the products under the category viewed
- Item name
- Item price
- Link to the product page
- Short description of the products
- Product rating
On the front end, this is what category pages look like:

Note: Categories in Shopify are referred to as Collections.
WooCommerce
NOTE: The category view of your website will depend on the layout created and the theme selected.
