WordPress website and plugin updates: What to do
Zeald runs updates on both the WordPress CMS and installed plugins proactively at the backend to guarantee minimal to no disruptions while you run your website. This means that your WordPress site and all plugins installed are automatically updated on our servers.
However, you might sometimes find this prompt on your website’s dashboard.
DO NOT CLICK ON THE UPDATE NOW BUTTON.
When you update your WordPress website, or any of the installed plugins yourself, you run the risk of damaging your website and its features. There’s a possibility that some of the plugins may not be compatible with the latest version of WordPress and vice versa.
To avoid potential conflicts that may arise, contact our support team IMMEDIATELY when you see a prompt to update your WordPress site, or any of the installed plugins. Our support specialists will inform our developers to do a backup on your website, and run the updates for you.
What should I do if I click on the Update Now button?
If the update caused issues on your website, we can fix it for you for a charge, depending on the solution and how long it will be implemented. Damages on your site due to modifications or alterations done by you that were not permitted by writing (including updates to the website or plugin) will no longer be covered by your website’s warranty per Section 5.ii of our Terms of Trade.
